Bulk Sample Identification
Asbestos is the term used for the fibrous forms of naturally occurring silicate minerals that have been exploited for their useful properties. The control of asbestos regulations (2006) define asbestos as any of the minerals Chrysotile, Crocidolite, Amosite, fibrous Anthophylite, fibrous Actinolite, fibrous Tremolite or any mixture of them. In order to effectively manage asbestos containing materials, identification of the exact type of material must be identified. At HFS Environmental ,we have our own, independent, UKAS accredited, asbestos fibre identification laboratory, located at our base office in south east London. All personnel responsible for conducting bulk analysis are appropriately qualified, highly trained and experienced and are subject to rigorous internal and external QA/QC schemes. This means we can provide a better service to our clients with a faster turn around of results. |
