Asbestos surveying in the Gulf

by

Some interesting pictures from asbestos surveys recently conducted in the middle east. Surveyors spent 3 weeks at sea carrying out asbestos surveys. Heat was always always an issue, especially bulk sampling in the engine room. Personal asbestos air tests have just been preformed to ascertain asbestos fibre levels when working below in the engine room, where thermal buoyancy and vibration create a unique environment in which asbestos fibres are – potentially – easier to inhale.
